Hagakure and Asahina walked eagerly into the new community amusement park known as Devil Heights. "Devil Heights seems like a lame name for a theme park, man..." Hagakure looked around getting a bit nervous as most of the rides seemed to be quite fast paced. It wasn't something he was exactly used to.

"Why? It sounds fine to me." Asahina furrowed her brows confused as they walked side by side.

"The Devil is supposed to be underground, so heights makes no sense. I say we get some donuts and get out of here." he tried to sound cool rather than nervous.

"Oh we will get donuts alright, but we aren't leaving until I've gotten on the Space Blaster!" Asahina declared excitedly.

"Uh... the Space Blaster?" Hagakure looked at her concerned.

Asahina grabbed his collar gently and directed him to the large roller coaster at the far end of the park. It could be seen from where they stood, a tall blue and silver structure with saucer-like cars that were gliding rapidly along the tracks. Hagakure stared up at it, mortified. "I-I um... I don't know..." He said watching the drop that was extremely steep.

Asahina looked up at him, inches from his face. "Are you scared?" She smiled a little.

"No! Why would I be?" Hagakure furrowed his brows.

"Then let’s go." She smiled grabbing his arm pulling him with her.

He stumbled after her. He'd never once been to an amusement park, and he wasn't entirely sure he wanted to come, but he wanted to spend time with Asahina. It seemed an appropriate place to ask her to go without seeming like he was asking her on a date. He still hadn't mustered up the courage for that.

She pulled him into the line-up, and he couldn't help but notice a few other people who appeared to be as nervous as he was. "Asahina... what if the ride breaks and we die?"

Asahina looked at him and put her hands on her hips. "You told me my future, how would I possibly die now?"

"Heh..." He rubbed the back of his neck. "I guess you're right... but I mean, I could die." He watched her stare back at him with a look of annoyance. "...I'll just shut up now..." He decided.

Asahina smiled and laced their fingers. He smiled a little knowing it was a momentary bliss before he was pulled onto one of the most terrifying situations in his entire life. He knew if he could pass this test it would give him man points. He heavily needed those man points when it came to impressing Asahina. He couldn't believe she was this brave, it made him feel like a coward.

When the time came they were strapped into the saucer together side by side. Asahina sat with their hips touching as they were strapped in. Hagakure put his hands on the bar in front of them for emotional support. "Hagakure, are you really going to be ok?" Asahina asked looking over his sweating face.

"Oh yeah, I mean, I've been through a lot-" At that moment the car pulled forward onto the tracks going at a brisk speed. "Ahhh!" He gripped the bar tighter.

Asahina giggled, holding the bar. "Relax, Yasuhiro-kun it's not even going that fast yet!"

"I know I just um... I had a vision..." he lied gripping the bar for dear life, repeating over and over in his head prayers to keep himself from dying.

"Sure you did..." Asahina shook her with a little smile, excited for the ride to get faster.

They climbed up towards the top of the ride. It wasn't exactly speedy but Hagakure was close to passing out from anticipation. He clenched his eyes closed as they neared the top of the ride. "Sáncte Míchael Archángele, defénde nos in proélio, cóntra nequítiam et-" Hagakure started.

Asahina looked over wide eyed. "Are you praying... in Latin?"

"Yes, yes I am." He said tensely before suddenly a loud click from below them sounded and the ride descended down at a terrifying speed.

Hagakure began to scream loudly eyes clenched tightly. Asahina screamed but couldn't help but laugh at Hagakure's reaction. "Insídias diáboli ésto præsídium. Ímperet ílli Déus, súpplices deprecámur: tuque, prínceps milítiæ cæléstis!" He screamed out about halfway down the ride.

Asahina wrapped her arms around him laughing into his shoulder as the saucer made a sharp turn and invoked more screams of terror from the shaman next to her. He didn't register the fact she was holding onto him, his terror was far too intense. "It's ok! It's just a ride!" She tried holding him close as he clenched onto the bar before him.

"I'M GOING TO DIE! I'M GOING TO DIE! I'M TOO YOUNG TO DIE!" He screamed out clenching his eyes closed tightly.

Asahina giggled madly until the ride began to slow down. Hagakure panted hard, heart beating in his ears. He felt a cold burning in his chest that seemed to die down as he felt the ride slowing down. His dreads were held back from all the wind pushing against them. "See? It's over now." Asahina promised as they pulled into the station of the ride.

Hagakure slowly detached his fingers from the bar, red marks stained his flesh from holding on so tightly. "I... I don't think I can grip things anymore..." He panted weakly.

Asahina giggled as she helped him stumble off the ride. "I had no idea you were so afraid of fast rides."

He looked at her looking a bit drained. "I think I need to sit down..." He said hoarsely.

Asahina smiled and laced their fingers lulling him back into his sense of bliss once more. They took a seat on a nearby bench that was painted a cotton candy blue. She smiled. "You know, that was pretty brave of you to go on that ride, even if you were scared." Asahina said encouragingly.

"I don't have to go on another one do I?" He asked looking petrified.

"Well... we only went on ONE ride..." She pointed out.

Hagakure's shoulders dropped. "How many more...?" He asked nervously.

Asahina smiled and started to fix his hair so it was back to its normal shape. "Maybe three? We bought all these tickets so we may as well use them up." She pointed out.

"Yeah... we did..." Suddenly an idea came to him as he spotted the only ride in the distance that was scary, but not likely to cause him death. "B-but lets make one of the rides the Ferris wheel... please." he looked at her.

Asahina smiled. "Ok, one of them can be the Ferris wheel just because I know this is hard on you."

He looked at her. "It's not HARD on me its just... I'm not... used to them!"

"Its ok to admit it, you're afraid." She smiled, leaning on his shoulder a bit.

He smiled sheepishly. "Alright you caught me..."

"It wasn't exactly hard." She giggled a bit.

Hagakure smiled at the cute sound emitting from her. He liked seeing her happy, even if his terror was the thing causing her happiness at the moment.

"Why don't we stop with the roller coasters for now, and we can go on the Panic Plunge instead?" Asahina suggested.

Hagakure looked at her. "Wait... what's that?"

"Come on I'll show you." She pulled him towards the ride eagerly.

"That's it there!" She pointed up at a tall tower.

A ring with seats sat around the tower, and people sat down in it before being strapped down tight. Hagakure watched as they slowly ascended to the top of the tower. Before they reached the top of the tower they were dropped down at full force. The screams of terror emitted from some of the girls before suddenly it slowed and the people were unbuckled from the chair.

"Well that doesn't look so bad." He shrugged looking at her.

Asahina smiled. "Good!" She pulled him into the line holding onto his arm.

Hagakure stood with her feeling a bit more relaxed. How bad could that ride be? Hagakure felt Asahina hug his arm with both of hers. He glanced down noticing she was looking towards the ride, so he glanced a little further down to see that his arm was squished between both of her breasts, and that alone sent a flame of triumph rushing through him. He looked away quickly before she noticed where he was looking and waited with a smile plastered to his face.

Next thing he knew, Asahina was pulling him onto the ride with her. She sat next to him, and the two were fastened into the seat. His legs began to dangle as they were lifted off the ground together. Asahina reached over and grabbed his hand. "Are you scared?"

"Nah, not this time." He smiled looking over at her.

The cerulean colour of her eyes was a beautiful contrast to her tanned skin. It reminded him of a desert oasis. She smiled a little more and began to close her eyes. Hagakure looked down once more realising they were pretty high up. He felt his eyes widen. Alright, maybe this was a little bit scary.

He looked up realising they were only halfway up the tower. He closed his eyes and felt the tension in his chest getting tighter. "Aoi, if I die, you can have my crystal ball!" He stammered suddenly.

"It's ok, you won't die! I promise!" Asahina tried to comfort him squeezing his hand a little tighter.

"I can't do this!" Hagakure started. "It's too high!"

"Well you have no choice, you'll come down when it drops." Asahina told him letting go of his hand. "Now grab the grips across your chest and don't be a baby, ok?"

Hagakure grabbed the grips on the front of his chest, and felt his lip quiver. "Oh no..." He heard a familiar clicking sound that brought him back to the last ride. Sure enough, the ride began to drop him hard.

He screamed out eyes clenched tightly. Hagakure went hoarse after a few seconds, and slowly the ride came to a halt. He opened his eyes again as the people working with the ride undid them. He stumbled off the ride with Asahina and felt her cling to his arm once again, this time he couldn't speak, he was way too shaken.

"Hagakure-kun?" she looked up at him nervous for his sanity. "Are you ok?"

He nodded slowly, eyes wide with a look of torment. She sighed and looked at him softly. "It's ok Yasuhiro-kun, lets go sit down for a bit, no more scary rides for you."

Asahina sat him down at a picnic table in the food area. "Did you want something to drink? I can get us something." Asahina offered him.

Hagakure nodded staring at the table silently. "Alright, you stay here, I'll be back." She headed off towards a drink stand.

He felt like the shock and terror was wearing off, but he couldn't believe he underestimated such a ride. He let out a long repressed sigh and crossed his arms leaning on them. After a few moments Asahina returned, "Here, I brought you some soda." She put it in front of his arms.

Hagakure sat up and took a few sips of it. "Thanks Aoicchi." He smiled a little feeling a bit better.

Asahina smiled, "Any time." She took a drink of her own soda before opening a small bag of donuts. "Want one?"

Hagakure reached into the bag and pulled out one to nibble on. Asahina devoured the bag in minutes much to his surprise. "These aren't half bad." He smiled handsomely.

"They're donuts, they can never be bad." She smiled.

Hagakure chuckled a bit. "Sure." He looked over at a fortune telling stand briefly, "Amateurs." He commented.

Asahina turned around in her seat to follow his line of vision. "Why don't you ever set up a stand at an amusement park?"

"I have, but that was when I was on the move a lot. They likely can't even see visions like I can." Hagakure scoffed a bit.

"You really don't like competition do you?" Asahina smiled a bit amused.

"Competition? I'd love some." He smirked a little.

Asahina smiled and finished her donuts. "Alright, just because you were so brave today, we'll spend our last tickets on the Ferris wheel."

Hagakure nodded with relief. "Good, I appreciate it."

The two tossed their garbage in a nearby can and headed for the Ferris wheel with ease. They were let onto the Ferris wheel fairly quickly. Hagakure sat down and Asahina sat down next to him. After being on two scary rides, Hagakure was starting to feel a little braver. He knew death never came to him, but the rides were scary enough to make him fear death. That led him to think about how short life was.

Hagakure looked over at Asahina as they slowly ascended to the top of the Ferris wheel, her eyes reflected all the beautiful lights around them as the sun began to set. He knew she wouldn't be around forever, and he knew he couldn't wait much longer or he might lose her. Hagakure laced their fingers together and looked at her with a gentle smile.

Asahina looked at their hands before looking at him curiously, waiting for him to speak. Hagakure opened his mouth, but then thought for a moment before he spoke. "You know... I'm not so great with words..."

Asahina looked at him and nodded. "I've noticed."

Hagakure smiled. "So I'm going to skip that part completely..." He leaned in and pressed his lips to hers.

Asahina felt her eyes widen, and watched him pull back smiling a bit. Asahina knew he was waiting for a reaction. After a moment she pulled on the collar of his shirt pulling him back in to kiss her again. Hagakure let his eyes slide closed and pressed his lips to hers repeatedly, enjoying the softness of them.

After a few moments Asahina pulled back, "You're right... you were better off skipping to that part instead of the words..." She smiled a little.

Hagakure chuckled and got off with her when the ride was over. They continued walking around the place once it was lit up for the night time. He felt satisfied with his day, but before they left he made them stop at one of the fate and chance booths. Hagakure made a bet on what colour the wheel would land on, and sure enough he managed to win Asahina a fluffy bunny rabbit.

"Thanks for taking me out Yasuhiro-Kun... I've had a really fun day." She smiled up at him.

"Hey, I'm always a fun time." He smiled as they headed on their way back home.
